Mirande Valbrune is an Employee Relations (ER) professional with an Employment Law background. She has over 18 years of experience, with a majority spent in senior roles. She holds degrees from two Ivy League institutions that are renowned for their Employment Law programs. In light of this training, her most important attributes are her ability to deliver value added, creative solutions that are business aligned, while balancing the needs of stakeholders and mitigating risk.
After graduating from law school, Mirande worked as an employment lawyer for two prominent management side Labor and Employment Law firms. As a junior associate, Mirande co-authored and published a number of articles with her senior mentor partner and presented at client conferences.
With an interest in practicing proactive, preventative in-house work, Mirande transitioned into ER. In this capacity, Mirande has held various leadership roles. She has worked cross-functionally with global partners to develop and promote policy initiatives to align with HR strategic priorities while providing thought leadership on and implementation of US policy. She has worked to identify ER trends and metrics and create strategic solutions to address them. Finally, she has provided support on day-to-day ER issues, such as investigations, advice and counsel, and consultation on performance management and terminations and has earned the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) designation.
